The renowned Nigerian televangelist and founder of the Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman advises Africans in a viral video to wake up from their slumber. Here is everything he said in that video;
Africans must try and wake up from their slumber. The problem we have is not the lack of mineral resources or only leadership but we are victims of our thinking. The many years of servitude have done many things to us. The colour of your skin does not have an effect on your mind. Your background and where you come from does not also have an effect on your mind. There are no second class citizens on earth except you make for yourself. The moment you receive Jesus, you are born into a superior class of living.
Make up your mind and refuse mediocrity. Don’t keep giving excuses while life is passing you by. Success does not come by hustling. Hustling is a demonic strategy. Work circumspectly as wise. Hustling is why people don’t give God the glory. The bible says ” except the Lord builds a house, the builder’s labour in vain. Except the Lord watches over a city, the watchman watches in vain. It is vain to wake up early in the morning and sleep late in the night only to eat the bread of sorrow but he gives his beloved sleep.”
We are not left alone in this kingdom because we have systems of advantages. Some of them include; the favour of God, capacity to restore, the gift of men and the ministry of the holy spirit. All these systems of advantages show you what to do part-time. Confessing without contending for transformation only brings anger. Confession is powerful but it is not the only key to the success equation. Invest in your mind more than the clothes you buy. Technology has made it very easy for transformation.
You have to understand how the mind thinks because the school does not teach people how to think. Achievement is a science because there are exact equations that produce it. From where you are, you can make up your mind to be great. Buy the truth more than the clothes you wear. Philippians 4: 8 ” Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
