Primeboy, a close friend of the late singer Mohbad, has voluntarily surrendered to the police amid the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s tragic death. This development follows the Lagos State Police Command’s declaration of Primeboy as a wanted individual for failing to respond to their invitation.
Primeboy, whose real name is Owodunni Ibrahim, was summoned by the police as part of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely demise. The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this development in a statement.
In the statement, Primeboy was described as a male individual approximately 1.64 meters tall, with a dark complexion, tribal marks, and of Yoruba ethnicity. His last known address was 3rd Power, Oke Eletu, Ikorodu. The statement also provided a contact number for anyone with information about his whereabouts to reach out to the police.
Notably, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, offered a reward of N1,000,000 for anyone who could assist in locating Primeboy. This incentive underlines the seriousness of the investigation and the authorities’ commitment to uncovering the truth behind Mohbad’s death.
Primeboy, who is not only a close friend of Mohbad but also a childhood friend, played a significant role in confirming Mohbad’s tragic passing. On the evening of September 12th, he shared a video showing Mohbad’s lifeless body in a car, tearfully announcing, “Mohbad is dead.” Afterward, he had vanished from the public eye, raising questions about his whereabouts and his involvement in the investigation, given that he was one of the last individuals seen with Mohbad.
