We all know a person (or more) that are jealous of our achievements or goals. Jealous people are the worst and can really get under your skin if you let them. There’s no worse feeling than working hard on your goals and achieving them then discovering that the people around you are jealous of it.
The jealousy can sometimes make people act all hostile which is another problem that can cause headaches. We’ve all felt this horrible emotion at least ones in our lives. However, it feels worse when others are jealous of our achievements.

Downplaying Success
Jealous people always downplay the success of others. No matter how hard someone worked to achieve something, jealous people will make it look like no big deal. Those who envy others in that way only want the same. Don’t let them hook you in with their bait. Just stay humble and ignore their jealous feelings.
Imitation
Jealous people always imitate those around them. They want to be just like others or better than them, imitating their body language or the way they talk to feel better for themselves. Anyone who knows someone like that should encourage these people to go their own way. Give them positive reinforcement instead of being infuriated by it. It’s the only way to go.
Celebrating Failures
One of the biggest signs of a jealous person is when they celebrate the failures of others. They can’t wait for someone to fail at something so they can laugh and gloat. To quench their celebrations, one needs to remind them that failures and mistakes are a normal part of life. When a person is not upset by their celebration, they won’t be getting the enjoyment they’ve hoped for.
Flaunting Success
A jealous person will always flaunt their successes more than it is worth to. They won’t forget to flaunt their success when someone’s celebrating something on their own. Jealous people like this do it because they’re simply not as good as others.
False Praise
Jealous people will often falsely praise others in a seemingly sincere way and roll their eyes when they leave the room. They will never address the issue at hand – they’d rather pretend they’re not jealous at all. Experts say that this is one of the earliest signs of jealousy – if you know someone close to you like that, you might want to talk to them.
Gossiping
Jealous people gossip all the time. They can’t wait to talk behind someone’s back, especially those they’re jealous of. You can’t prevent this from happening, but you can confront them directly when you’re sure they’re doing it. Talking with them about the gossip may cause them to rethink their behavior and hopefully stop it.
