See the 4 Nigerian celebrities who have given educational scholarships to students, fans

Some Nigerian celebrities have taken an active interest in the education of their fans by awarding scholarships for them to pass through a citadel of learning. In this article, I will be revealing some Nigerian celebrities who have offered scholarships to students or fans to continue their education.

1) David Adeleke aka Davido

In 2017, a video of a ghetto boy singing one of Davido’s hit songs, “IF”, went viral on social media. Davido showed off that philanthropic side of his by offering the boy a scholarship to get a proper education. The music star also shared the news on his official Instagram handle to millions of his fans with photos as proof.

2) Patoranking

In 2020, award-winning Nigerian music star, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie professionally known as Patotanking awarded scholarships to ten African students. The 10 Africans were selected from the hundreds of applications from exceptional young people across Africa. The scholarship scheme is part of a partnership with the African Leadership University.

The beneficiaries emerged from the following African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Liberia, Burkina Faso and Kenya. The Patoranking Scholarship was set up in partnership with ALU.

3) CDQ

Nigerian music star, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, professionally known as CDQ, is among the celebrities who have offered scholarships to fans. In 2019, he gave scholarships to some students in Ikeja, Lagos. According to him, whatever one needs to do in life, education should come first. He revealed that education was his major source of sustainability.

4) Bella Shmurda

Recently, popular Nigerian artiste, Bella Shmurda, offered a scholarship to a boy who was spotted dancing to his song in a viral video. According to him, he will sponsor the little boy until he finishes primary school.

No doubt, education is very important in our society. It helps people become better citizens, get a brighter future, and more. Education shows us the importance of hard work and, at the same time, helps us grow and develop.
