Femi Adebayo Salami is a popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, a Nigerian lawyer, film director and producer. He was born on December 31, 1978 in Lagos, Nigeria. His father is the popular Yoruba veteran actor, Adebayo Salami also known as Oga Bello. The family is from Kwara state.
Femi Adebayo is an alumnus of University of Ilorin where he graduated with a Law Bachelor’s degree. He proceeded to University of Ibadan where he obtained Master’s degree in Law. He started acting in the year, 1985. His first featured movie was titled ‘Ogun Ajaye’ which happened to be his father’s first movie.
Femi Adebayo has received several awards for his exceptional performances and contributions to the Yoruba Nollywood movie industry. He won the Best Indigenous Movie(Yoruba) for his film ‘Etiko Onigedu’ at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards(AMCVA) in 2018. He also bagged the Best Actor of the Year at the City People Movie Awards in 2017.
His movie, ‘Jelili’ gave him more popularity and it became an household name. He was also nicknamed ‘Jellili’ because of the hit movie.
Speaking about marital life of this lively and jovial actor, he is currently in his second marriage. His first marriage with ex-wife, Khadijat crashed as she was not cool with Femi Adebayo’s profession and allegation that he was having an affair with his co-actor, Funke Akindele. Femi Adebayo finally got separated legally from his first wife in 2011. The marriage produced 3 wonderful children, a girl and 2 boys(twin).
Femi Adebayo got married to his current wife, Omotayo Memunat Sanusi in October 2016, and their union has beeen blessed with a son.
