Veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs turned 80 years old, and his colleague, Patience Ozokwor, paid tribute to him.
During his birthday celebration, which was held at the Glover Memorial Hall in Lagos on Sunday, Patience Ozokwor remarked that the legendary actor, who is progressively resembling a pale shadow of himself since he is so thin, is irreplaceable.
Additionally, complimenting Olu Jacobs on his acting abilities, Patience Ozokwor said he was irreplaceable.
In her words:
I’M MISSING HIM ON SET, HE CAN PLAY AN IGBO KING, HE CAN PLAY A YORUBA KING, IN FACT, I DON’T THINK ANYBODY CAN REPLACE HIM.
Others who also attended the event include, Hilda Dokubo, Ali Baba, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Victor Osuagwu, Ego Boyo, Ireti Doyle, Ini Edo, Kunle Afolayan, Ngozi Nwosu and his wife Joke Silva.
In a related piece of news, Patience Ozokwor has asked consumers of Nollywood movies to support them in all facets so the industry will be vibrant.
Beyond that, the veteran superstar said old thespians in the industry, the up-and-coming ones and those who have been regular faces for a while all need their support.
She has called for support from the Federal Government so to keep the industry growing stronger.
