During her visit to Nigeria, renowned Nollywood actress Tawa Ajisefinni embarked on an emotional reunion with her biological father, Alhaji Fasasi Oladejo Jimoh Ajisefinni, after being separated for three decades.
Expressing her joy, the Yoruba movie star shared her happiness at finally meeting her father, who is now 92 years old. Tawa acknowledged that many people assumed she didn’t have a father since she predominantly posted videos featuring her beloved mother. However, it was revealed that her father and she had been out of touch until last year when he divorced her mother.
Providing further insight, Tawa disclosed that her father reached out and reconciled with her a year ago, which led to her brief visit. Despite any past behavior, she expressed her reluctance to judge him, believing that it is not her place to pass judgment on a parent.
During her Instagram post, Tawa paid tribute to her late sister and acknowledged the hardships her mother endured for their sake. She shared a heartfelt message along with a photo of her father, saying, “Hmmmm Meet my biological father on the gram for the first time. Alhaji Fasasi Oladejo Jimoh Ajisefinni, 92 years old. I’m glad to meet you again after 30 years Alhamdulilah… I’m not here to judge anyone… Idajo obi kosi lowo Omo. Tor, adupe fun Olorun Oba. RIP to my late sister Airat Adebola Ajisefinni… Afi ki abiyamo jere omo. Alhaja suffered han ni o but Olorun seun loni.”
Tawa’s touching reunion illustrates the challenges faced when parents separate, emphasizing the importance of parental responsibility. She hopes for a long life for her father and expressed her love and gratitude.
