His real name is Kayode Olasehinde, he attended Ekwa primary school, he could not further his education because of financial difficulties but he sat for the entrance examination in Oke_Odo grammar school. He later became a house help in Lagos. He also learnt printing as profession. He started acting in the year 1976. He had a master then the late Olarewaju Ali who had a theatre group in Lagos State.
He was working at UTC hardware Apapa then as a labourer, at a point his boss Olarewaju Ali decided to venture into Fuji music because Sikiru Ayinde barrister and others were making money in the music business that was when Ajirebi joined another theatre group in year 1982 and he was named Ajirebi by the late leader of the group. So Ajirebi did not have more than a primary school education.
Ajirebi role model are Moses Olaiya, Baba Sala, the late Ojo Ladipo, this people were the one that he cherised their comedy. Ajirebi has been married to the same woman over the years and they have three children together including Samuel Olasehinde Ajirebi son who is following his footsteps. All Ajirebi’s son have actually followed his footsteps, the most popular of them is Samuel Olasehinde, the other one is into Christian drama, he is a drama coordinator in his school Kwara state, while the other one is the president of drama group in his secondary School that he attends.

Ajirebi has three boys, Ajirebi is from Kwara state but he was born and raised in Isale Eko in Lagos Island lagos State. Ajirebi’s son Samuel Olasehinde observed his NYSC in Benue state just eight months ago. The Nollywood actor share photos of himself as he rocks his NYSC Karki uniform. The actor revealed that he is serving the nation all the way in Benue and interestingly he seems to be enjoying himself. Ajirebi clocks 60 years old in the year 2018 precisely in July.
