A Nigerian man has been arrested by the police in Lagos for allegedly slapping an officer twice after causing an accident.
According to a police report, the man was responsible for an accident that happened in Ikeja and didn’t want to own up to his action.
The Police officers at the scene were reported to have detained him and in the process he slapped one of them twice. He was also reported to have resisted arrest when a team of officers was deployed to the scene.

Assaulting a police officer is an offence under sections 58 and 60 Crimes Act 1914. The maximum penalty for this offence is 5 years imprisonment, or 2 years imprisonment if the matter is finalised in the Local Court.” another user wrote on twitter
