It’s 2days to the our general elections and everyone is warming up for the big day to decide the fate of her beloved country Nigeria.
Surprisingly, there is a group of worshippers who sits and watch as the game plays out.
They don’t feel are part of this life changing experience. For Jehovah’s Witnesses, the act of voting goes against what Jesus would have done.
Jehovah’s Witnesses pride themselves on staying politically neutral around the world.
They say they are following in Jesus’ footsteps, in obedience to his instructions to be in the world but not part of the world.
They pay taxes and obey the law. But they don’t take political sides, they don’t vote and many other things like celebrations of Birthdays, Christmas, Donation of blood and many more.
