Comic actor, Woli Agba honoured with “Creatives in Mental Health” Award

Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Ayobami Ajewole, popularly known as Woli Agba, has been honoured with the Creatives in Mental Health Award for Screenplay and Comedy.

The Creatives in Mental Health Award is an initiative of the Dove Health Care Awards, aimed at recognising individuals who have positively impacted mental health through their creative works.

Dr Ayobami Olakunle Ajewole is an Economics graduate of Lead City University, Ibadan and founder of a creative platform and initiative on social media called IPM, which has grown to become a global community with over 10 Million followers on all social media platforms.

Dr Ajewole who is popularly known as Woli Agba is an epitome of creativity with shining talents and abilities brewed out of passion and energy.

 

Hence, he has secured for himself a spot not just in the gospel world but the Entertainment Industry through his dramatic, comic and humorous art.

He is not just a professional comedian but also an adept Actor, meticulous Singer, seasoned Director, a Producer, an Instructor, a versatile OAP, Teacher, and a Prophet per excellence.

On the 18th of December, 2021, Ayobami Ajewole was conferred a honorary degree of Doctor of Humanities (D.H) by the Triumphant Christian University of America.

Today, Dr Ayobami Olakunle Ajewole would be honored with Creatives in Mental Health Award – Screenplay & Comedy for his outstanding contributions to the mental health of the general public via his humorous comedy that has brought relief to the masses.

We believe that drugs aren’t the only thing that heals there are non-drug interventions that can heal or help cope with treatment. Music, comedy and other creative arts are good examples of non-pharmacological interventions in healthcare.

Reacting to the award, Woli Agba expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that he is delighted to have been honoured for his work.
