Nigerian Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa, has praised the late Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, describing him as the “Original Fuji Template.” as he produced his own version of Barrister’s hit album, “Fuji Template.”
In a video posted on his Instagram page, Osupa shares a video of the late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister alongside a track in his a track from his new album, “Fuji Template.”
Sharing the video, he pays homage to Barrister, who is widely regarded as the founder of Fuji music.
According to Osupa, Barrister’s impact on the Fuji music genre cannot be overstated and he’s the real owner of the Fuji Template in which he (Osupa) just produce his own version.

The late Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister was a Nigerian Fuji musician and one of the pioneers of the genre. He is widely regarded as the founder of Fuji music, having created a unique blend of traditional Yoruba music and Islamic music in the 1960s. He passed away in 2010, leaving behind a legacy that continues to influence the Nigerian music industry.
