Woman Criticizes Companies Failing The Same Way Society Criticizes Poor People

People who have faced many failures life and felt what poor feels like have always been criticized by society, politicians and the general public. For some reason, those who rely on their governments for help have always been quickly judged and perceived as “too lazy to get up and do something about their lives”. Deny it all you want, but this is the truth.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, last year, 38.1 million Americans lived in poverty. What’s even more devastating and disappointing is the fact that 17.3 million of these people live in deep poverty, struggling to make ends meet.

    And what does society do?

Instead of encouraging these people to move forward and offering them help, it criticizes them for not trying harder. For not quitting their average job and get a better-paying job. For not putting the effort. For not working more. For being ‘lazy’. For waiting for money to fall from the sky.

Well, that’s exactly why one Twitter user under the name @KeZiyahL decided to stand up for these people and highlight how unreasonable and unfair it is to criticize those in need instead of offering them help. Tired of reading about companies failing as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, she decided to speak up and shut the CEO’s mouths all over the world!

You wouldn’t criticize a billion-dollar company struggling to make it during the coronavirus crisis, would you? Quite on the contrary, you’d feel sorry for them and you’d probably even go on an online shopping spree to help them survive this period. Well then, why would you criticize poor people for their struggles?

Scroll down to see what the Twitter community had to say about it.
