A wedding between an elderly grandfather and a young girl in the Northern part of Nigeria has angered Nigerians.
According to the photo of the couple’s wedding calendar, they got married on Friday, Jan 22.
Though the bride’s age is not known, she looks quite young while her groom is old and grey.
Reacting to the photo which was shared via Twitter, Nigerians questioned why such practices still prevail and are even celebrated.
Many pointed out that the wedding is nothing short of child abuse.
