The President and Founder of the Pius Alile Coalition Initiative, PACI, Hon. Pius Alile has on the occasion of the inauguration of the sixth democratically elected President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, congratulated Nigerians for choosing the best of all the candidates who contested the last Presidential Election.
Hon. Pius Alile, also stated that he strongly believes that the hand of God was in the making of Tinubu President, given the seemingly insurmountable adversarial obstacles he overcame right from the party primary through the campaign up to the general election.
The renowned philanthropist and political mobilizer said that God has specifically chosen Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, whom he had taken through the crucible of refinement, not just to renew hope for Nigerians, which is the theme of the Tinubu Presidential Election Campaign, but to use him to take Nigeria to the greatness that has eluded the country since Independence in 1960.
Hon. Alile stated that Nigerians had been guided by God to elect a man He had specially prepared, with manifest antecedence, since his auspicious reign as Governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007.
He said that like the biblical Moses who, with the guidance of God, brought out water from the rock, Tinubu had demonstrated such grace by leading Lagos out of economic morass to become the most successful state in Nigeria in spite of a twenty month economic strangulation attempt by the President Olusegun Obasanjo Federal Government, which was opposed to Tinubu’s creation of the revolutionary 37 Local Government Council Development Areas that have survived to this day due to Tinubu’s doggedness, strategic thinking and excellent finance management. He also mentioned that by an exceptional gift of vision, Tinubu had created corridors of social and economic development for Lagos State, which include the rollback of the roaring Atlantic Sea for the creation of the Eko Atlantic City, and the creation of the free trade zone which today hosts the biggest petrochemical refinery in the world, the Dangote Refinery, among others.
Hon. Alile also stated that Tinubu is unarguably the most connected pan Nigerian politician alive, and thus the most qualified to lead Nigeria out of the sectional, tribal and religious divisions, which threaten her corporate existence and harmonious interrelationships.
Finally, Alile called for cooperation and prayers for the new president from all Nigerians so that he, Tinubu can deliver beyond the great expectation which he has no doubt God will lead him to fulfill.
