A Nigerian man who rescued a 2-year-old girl abandoned on the roadside in Agbani area of Enugu state has shared a recent photo of them.
Recall that the man, identified as BenKingsley Nwashala, made headlines in June 2022 for rescuing the girl after she was battered by the rain the previous day and neglected by people at the market, who failed to help her.
At the time, the DPO (Divisional Police Officer) of Agbani Police Station granted him permission to take the girl home to clean her up and feed her. Since then, he has taken on the responsibility of taking care of her.

In a recent update, Nwashala has taken to Twitter to share a new photo of them as they went out to celebrate his birthday.
He also revealed that the girl’s birthday will be on June 17, which is the day she was rescued.
“I’m the one doing Birthday and I’m also the one buying present ???? ????????????
Her birthday is on Saturday 17th though,” he captioned the photo.
