Bloomberg Billionaires Index reveals that Aliko Dangote had a net worth of $18.4 billion on the eve of Friday but woke up to it being reduced significantly to $17.5 billion on Friday.
According to Bloomberg, “The majority of Dangote’s fortune is derived from his 86 per cent stake in publicly traded Dangote Cement. He holds the shares in the company directly and through his conglomerate, Dangote Industries,”
Dangote dropped from 106th position to 114th position in the wealthiest people in the world list after he lost $900 million last Friday on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Dangote started bright in the the 1st 7 days of 2021, gaining $600 million, but lost over $600 million on friday.
