Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has reacted after the magistrate court sitting in Lagos state rejected the bail application of embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, bail over the ongoing trial over alleged sexual assault.

Celebrity Trace News recalled that Baba Ijesha was arrested and detained by the Lagos state police after being alleged to have sexually molested a minor at 7 and 14.

He was later granted bail on May 17 after spending about 25 days in police detention but has remained in police custody despite the bail.

During the trial on Wednesday, June 16, Kayode Olabiran, his counsel, prayed the court to release his client, citing his deteriorating health. He said the controversial nature of the case has made it difficult to secure his release despite his bail as intending sureties were scared of the likely consequences.

But in his ruling, P. E Nwaka, the judge, held that the court could not grant the actor bail because the matter is beyond its jurisdiction. The judge also explained that the case has already been filed before the high court.

Reacting to this, Yomi Fabiyi, who has continued to give unwavering support to his colleagues amidst several criticisms, took to his Instagram page to share a cryptic post.

Yomi averred that anyone who needs to know the definition of persecution from the unknown should ask him, adding that every lie has an expiry date.

Laughing over the situation, Yomi Fabiyi said the game is still on however, everything will be resolved.

He wrote: When you need the definition of persecution from the unknown, ask me. But trust me, every lies expiry date. I can’t stop laughing here. Game On! This can never be any artist power jare. But it will be resolved, trust me.
