A 20-year-old diminutive lady has shared the touching story of how her disability prevented her from pursuing her desired career path.

 
 

 

 

According to the 20-year-old young lady who wanted to become a professional footballer, she grew up playing football and has always dreamed of playing at the highest level, but her disability ruined her dreams.

 

Afrimax English revealed that the young lady was diagnosed with “shortness” and this rare condition was a hindrance in achieving her dreams.

It was gathered that she started school late because she had to wait for a long time to start walking and for her legs to grow longer a bit.

 

The lady stated that people generally doubt her age and find it hard to believe that she is a girl, according to her, people generally mistake her for a boy because of her stature.

Some days ago, a Physically challenged lady and a Nigerian pharmacist with diverse skills, Blessing Mary Ochiedo, said she was denied the opportunity to study at a Nigerian university because of her condition.

 

Recounting the struggles that come with being physically challenged in Nigeria, Blessing, a disability rights advocate, accused Madonna University of rejecting her application in 2008 despite her excellent performance in the interview.

However, the Physically challenged lady is now a United Nations Youth Steering Committee member on Beijing+25, an Enterprise for Peace Scholar and a 2021 One Young World Ambassador, and her achievements have garnered numerous awards for her over the years.
