This Is How Much Water You Should Drink To Lose Weight

Water is very important element and the reasons are endless. First of all: humans are made of approximately 50-75% water. That depends on the composition of the body. Water controls different body functions. It regulates the body temperature, carries nutrients and oxygen to the cells; it dissolves nutrients and minerals, helps digestion. It also protects the tissues and body organs and lubricates joints.

 

It also boosts your metabolism. And it can help you to lose excess weight.

One study that was published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism says that if you drink 17 ounces of water the metabolic rate will increase by approximately 30% in healthy women and men. The best effect was achieved 30 to 40 minutes after they drank water.

Another study enhances that water can help you to lose weight. Researchers from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom made an experiment that lasted for 12 weeks. In this experiment participated 84 obese adults. The researches gave them advice for weight loss and assigned each advice to each group. The first group had to drink approximately 16 ounces of water 30 minutes before their meals. The other group had to think their stomachs are full before their meals. The conclusion was that the group that drank water lost 3 pounds more than the second group.
